In the presentera, common social issues have also resulted in common areas of thought. This is reflected in literature, bringing writers of literary works closer together, hence the common sentiments. A study of these works could shed light on how common areas of thought are formed among the literati in every part of the world.
Ahmed Saafi Nadjafi and Malek O-Sho'arā Bahār are two Iraqi and Iranian poets, respectively, who, based on social issues and problems, dedicated most of their poetry to relate the realities of their respective society. In his Social Issues, Saafi deals with diverse subjects such as women, society, poverty and social reform and tries meticulously to find a solution. Also, Bahār refers to the themes of invitation to unison and cooperation, awareness, ambition, women, and injustice in his poems about society.
The present study was conducted using a descriptive analysis approach based on school of comparative literature. Therefore, following an investigation of the personal characteristics of the two poets and an introduction on their poetry, the social themes in their poetry are explored to conclude that the two poets share strong similarities and common sentiments which are rooted in their common social and cultural grounds. the divans of Saafi and 30 odes from the divan of Bahār, the author found that the themes related to the social state and the issues of women were repeated with the same frequency in the poetry of Ahmed Saafi (25.8%), while the themes of injustice and social reform were less prominent in his works (12.9%). In the poetry of Malek o-Sho'arāBahār, the themes of poverty and women were repeated with the same frequency (27%). The themes of awareness and ambition were pushed into the margins .%.
